Fall in Love with You Again
I’ve been reading a book called You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life.
The number one thing that’s presented over and over again is : LOVE YOURSELF
At first thought, it’s easy to assume we love ourselves, but when you start paying attention, you might start to see some discrepancies. You might start to notice things that you say about yourself or to yourself that are not very lovey.
Beware : this post is about to be wordier than normal :
To be honest – sometimes I give myself a hard time because I don’t FEEL like I’m doing enough. No matter how busy I am or how many people I try to help or how “everyone thinks I’m living the dream” — it’s just not enough. That feeling tends to bring stress that makes me feel crazy, eating that makes me feel gross, and activities that do not support things that are really important to me.
Do you ever feel like that?
As I’ve been getting back on track and reading the book every day, I realized that part of the problem was I wasn’t remembering to love myself first. I had to remind myself that I’m a pretty cool person. I do like the person that I am. I have a lot to be thankful for, and I am doing enough. I just have to FOCUS on that and do things that FEED that instead of focusing on things that feed the negative feelings and habits.
Sounds easy right? Just focus on something else.
But we all knows it’s not that easy.
It takes purposeful action. It takes awareness of the situation and willingness to take a new path.
Here’s the bottom line – At some point you have to fall in love with yourself again. There’s only ONE YOU and A LOT of people on this planet really love YOU.
Shouldn’t YOU be one of them?
To me – Step 1 in loving yourself is taking CARE of yourself.
You know what the flight attendants say: Secure your mask before helping others!
I’ve been feeling SO MUCH BETTER since I got back in the habit of reading 10 pages a day and doing a 30 minute workout every day. As a fitness professional, I stay very active, so I was getting by without exercising more than twice a week. I was actually shocked at the toll it was taking on my state of mind.
If you’re feeling a little out of love with yourself, I would love to support you in getting back on track with quick exercise and easy meal planning.
What’s involved?
