The Week Before the Beach : Add Easy Exercise

Summer is here!! Yay!!

Many people are traveling to beaches or other relaxation spots this time of year, so I wanted to give you some tips for heading out to the beach with maximum confidence.

Losing a couple pounds or making sure you’ve packed the right things can help you to go on vacation and actually relax.

Today, I’ll share a simple activity that can help you to slim down a couple pounds in a week or less.

Walking!

{for once I didn’t say burpees!  LOL}

Literally walking can help fire up your fat burning engine and help you slim down.  Walking! Not running, okay?!

Start Today

  • Find 20-45 minutes*
  • Put on your comfy shoes
  • Grab a friend
  • Go walk – preferably outside

*35 to 45 minutes is ideal; however if all you can manage is 15 that’s better than 0. Repeat – Anything is better than 0.


Pro Tip: Make your walk a 2-for-1 activity by noticing things around you. Notice things you haven’t seen before and be grateful for your surroundings.


If you haven’t been active for a while, then start with 10-20 minutes and see how you feel. Sometimes your feet or hips can ache because of the “shock” of a new activity. If you’re feeling unusual discomfort then scale back your time and gradually increase or alternate days on with days off. Obvi complaining about the walk doesn’t apply here!

If you’re already exercising regularly, then shoot for 45 minutes and watch yourself get lean or at least hungry! You’ll see.

By taking simple actions the week BEFORE you go to the beach {or any vacation}, you can feel even more comfortable and confident on your trip.
