Brain Food for Achievers: Part 4

I want to give you the last piece of the brain food puzzle!

We’ve already talked about the positive power of live events, books, podcasts, and audiobooks.

Consider the power of music and movement!

That sounds fun!

“Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways that no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts as medicine.” – Macklemore

If you want to be in an upbeat mood, then turn on some upbeat music!!

My Top 5 songs right now:

  1. Alive – Empire of the Sun
  2. 24K Magic – Bruno Mars
  3. The Saints Are Coming – U2
  4. Dark Horse – Katy Perry
  5. Tik Tok – Ke$ha

You can contribute to my Brain Food playlist on Spotify.

If you’re listening to a good song, then you’re probably moving your body. Yay!

“Training gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress and thus tones the spirit just as exercise conditions the body.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

You can use simple movements or full-on exercise to feed your brain to become more creative and inspired. Some people even develop a trigger “power move” to get them into a peak state for engaging with life. Here’s an example.

My Top 5 Ways to Move

  1. High five yourself
  2. Burpees!!
  3. 30 minute workout
  4. Bouncing!!
  5. Brisk walk

When we have music and movement we have more energy!

Pro Tip: Start your day with movement as a way to get yourself in a positive mood for the day.

When we feel good, we are open to be even more creative and even more inspired.

As we consume other brain food like reading our books, listening to podcasts, or going to live events, we intensify the growth experience even more!

Remember this:

growth = progress = happiness
