How to Kill Cravings – Ice Cream Edition

Trying to stick to your meal plan but reeeeeeeally want to eat ice cream?

I’ll be honest – this doesn’t happen to me very often. I prefer candy or cake over ice cream.

However, my friend Katie has been sharing pictures of her amazing “nice cream.”

So, I had to share for all my friends who really love ice cream!

A loooong time ago when cooking was sort of a hobby of mine, I used to make “chunky monkey” which was someone else’s name for “nice cream.”   I used to make it for an after dinner treat and totally forgot about it until I heard Katie talking about it recently.

What’s Nice Cream?

It’s a frozen treat that mimics ice cream without all the sugar and heavy cream.  That means you can enjoy “ice cream” anytime you want which sounds amazing if you’re on a clean eating plan or watching your empty calories! {or if ice cream makes your tummy hurt}

It’s simple to make!

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • pinch of cinnamon

Throw ALL THAT in a food processor. Process for 1-2 minutes. Eat.

Easy peasy!

You can grab more ideas from my frrraaaand Katie’s blog.  Choose a flavor combination that works for you and blend it up!

You can have Nice Cream anytime!

Some people enjoy this concoction for a snack and some people even eat it for breakfast!

WHAT!

Ice cream for breakfast COULD fit into your meal plan!!

1. Would you make this?

2. What flavor would you make?

Tag me in your “nice cream” photos pleaseeeeee!
