How to Have More Energy – Crafty Request

Ever feel like you could use more energy?

Today was a super reflective and restful day for me.

I sat outside literally all afternoon mostly engaging with clients on my phone or updating my social media. I was feeling a lack of energy to do much.

Then, I remembered a fun activity that I’ve used and taught to clients.

It’s based on the book  The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work, and Team with Positive Energy.

The book tells a story of a man who was having a lot of bad days in a row and how he was influenced by a bus driver.

I’ll tell you more later {or you can read the book} but first – let’s get clear on the bus metaphor.

I found it fun to imagine what my “bus for life” looks like – what color is it, who’s on it, where do we go – to name a few attributes.

Imagine you are driving a bus that represents YOU. It has your style, your sense of humor, your friends, and goes to your job each day.

What would that bus look like?  

Mine would be pink and purple and have glitter floating around everywhere!

Where would it go? 

Mine would go to the beach, fueled by sunshine, and laughs!

Who would you allow on it? 

For me — Nice people. Family. Cats. My person. People who inspire others or have a story to share. People who need help finding their happy place or learning how to do burpees or create work they love.

How does this help you have more energy?

  1. If you’re doing the activity above, then you’re smiling. I just know it.
  2. When you feel confident in who you are and what you’re about, you naturally feel better about life {aka more energy}.
  3. “Where focus goes, energy flows.” – Tony Robbins When you’re focusing on YOUR PATH and what YOU want in your life, you create a pull that guides you toward excited energy.
