my journey : 2009 vs 2019

I love frolicking down memory lane, so when someone asked for an updated 10 year comparison, I found one!

In October 2009, I was starting to figure out what it meant to “work a regular job” like for the rest of my life. I was in my second office job, 2+ years out of college, and bored but rather resigned to this is how life is. It’s not “bad” and it’s not “amazing.” I’m sure it felt like what I was supposed to be doing. {anyone else get the “supposed tos” accidentally installed!?}

For fun, I enjoyed visiting my kitty at my parents house, quilting or crafting, and I was just beginning to understand traveling on airplanes. LOL

My “story” was probably – I know there is more to life, but I don’t know what I’d rather be doing. I’ll just stay here. Stay safe.

Now, October 2019, I haven’t worked a regular job in 5+ years, and I never want to do that again! LOL I’d work for a company doing something I enjoy, but showing up 8-5 for the sake of the clock is NOT happening. I’ve created my own income through personal training, coaching, network marketing, and other affiliates. I learned that ANYTHING is possible if I’ll be resourceful, dedicated and creative.

For fun, I enjoy volunteering at Tony Robbins events, hugging palm trees, burpees, and connecting with sparkly humans.

My “story” is – I choose to sparkle so others can sparkle too. OR sometimes the uncertain What could I do next?

One thing I’ve learned in the last decade is that neither path of life is right or wrong. It’s up to me to choose the path that brings me energy and fulfillment. It’s up to me to reject doing things the way “I’m supposed to” if they don’t spark joy. It’s up to me to take risks, dream big, and LOVE big.

Life is worth LIVING y’allIt’s not always perfect, I still have challenges, and 1000 feelings of all kinds, AND I’m excited to see how it continues to unfold.
