What’s the key to getting better results with your health and fitness plan?
We make 1000s of decisions every day. If you’re like most people, then sometimes you are completely exhausted with making decisions. Some decisions are obvious. You’re faced with a problem at work. You choose where to go for lunch. You pick between dinner with a friend or seeing a movie. Other decisions creep up on you. Should I click “like” on this status or double tap this photo?
By the end of the day, your brain is worn out from all the thinking and decision making. For most people, the evening is a critical time to be productive or fail miserably with their health and fitness goals. If you have a plan in place, then you won’t have to think about these decisions after a busy day. You’ll already know what you need to do.
The less you have to think, the better results you will get.
Set aside 30 minutes each week to schedule your workouts as nonnegotiable calendar events. Also, lay out a meal plan for the week so you know what to buy at the store. The more decisions you can make in advance, the easier it will be to stick to your meal plan. Once you’ve made the plan, let the plan be the boss of you.
